Description
This superb filmcell features the legendary Charlie Chaplin in the five-times Oscar nominated movie, The Great Dictator (1940).
The Great Dictator is Chaplin’s first talkie and is his most commercially successful film. It is a stirring and controversial condemnation of Hitler, fascism, antisemitism and the Nazis. The latter of whom he excoriates in the film as “machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts”. In Chaplin’s satire on Nazi Germany, the dictator, Adenoid Hynkel has a double; he is a poor Jewish barber. Incorrect identity then ensues. Chaplin plays both of these characters.
This is a Limited Edition Film Cell of just 1000 pieces and comes with a Numbered Plaque.
