Description

In Secondhand Lions, 13 year old Walter (Osment) has a no good floozy of a mother. Before going on yet another husband hunting trip, she drops him off at the house of his great uncles, Hub (Duvall) and Garth (Caine). During their youth they had disappeared for a while, and are rumored to have acquired a great fortune. Walter’s mother hopes to get her hands on the fortune if Walter can ingratiate himself enough to the two cantankerous men. Hub and Garth grow to accept Walter. They even tell him fantastic stories of what they had got up to. When his mother returns, Walter must take charge of his own life. He must decide what he’s going to do with it.
